Jacques Vert plc comprises its own ladies' apparel label along with clothing brands Windsmoor, Planet, Precis Petite, Melka and Tenson. Men's fashion brand Melka and outdoor/skiwear label, Tenson, are both based in Scandinavia and are marketed through a network of European sales offices.

PPS was hired to lead an IT system evaluation process, and to identify a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that would support sourcing, sales, logistics and finance for Melka and Tenson.

Based primarily in Sweden, we performed detailed analyses of the relevant functions prior to defining new system requirements. These functions included the design, development and finance operations in Sweden; logistics operations at the distribution centre in The Netherlands; and sales and customer service at additional locations across continental Europe.

Once we had successfully outlined the new ERP system requirements, we matched these with the capabilities of several specialist fashion software offers. PPS also helped Jacques Vert to secure the contract with the chosen provider.

PPS was subsequently retained to Project Manage delivery of the new system. We worked closely with client senior management and with the software provider, to guarantee that all elements were on target for the Autumn/Winter season. PPS successfully delivered the Assortment, Planning Sourcing and Sales phase. Work included planning and coordinating configuration and user acceptance tests and the roll-out of user training to sales teams across Europe.
