Dunelm (Soft Furnishings) Ltd
Dunelm Mill, part of the Dunelm Group, is one of the UK 's most successful, and fast growing, home furnishings retailers. The company currently has over 70 stores across Britain , with sales in 2004 totalling £239 million.
Dunelm Mill invited PPS to join a project team charged with re-planning IT systems across the entire supply chain. Our primary role was to examine and define IT business requirements for the areas of buying and merchandising and logistics.
PPS interviewed senior management to understand the company's vision and gauge its potential impact on the supply chain. We used a mapping process to visualise and compare current and desired systems, before redesigning structures to create optimum efficiency for the client's ongoing needs. Our recommendations were delivered in a comprehensive strategy report that formed part of Dunelm Mill's overall invitation to tender (ITT) document, issued to prospective IT companies.
