Axxis International Ltd is one of the UK 's leading suppliers for own-label personal care and household products.

PPS was employed to carry out a strategic review of the existing supply chain and to devise a critical integration path and organisational structure for a new business model.

PPS recommended and managed reforms including new procedures to support the automation of the sales ordering process and physical distribution pipeline, reduction of aged debtors and an Invitation to Tender (ITT) process for the procurement of third party distribution services for finished products and raw materials. PPS also devised and implemented a change management programme focusing on the ongoing professional development of employees within the company's Supply Chain Department.

As a result of this work, Axxis International nominated Mark West of PPS for Interim Manager of the Year.

PB Logistics Ltd (Division of the Peter Black Group)

PB Logistics provides third party international freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing, pre-retail processing and distribution services to premier European retail groups. These include: Marks & Spencer Group plc, Monsoon Accessorize PLC, Tesco PLC, Next Group PLC, J Sainsbury plc, BHS Ltd and Republic (Retail) Ltd.

PB Logistics hired PPS for expert capacity planning and forecasting advice on the use of short-term warehousing for the 2004 Christmas trading peak. The role involved interpreting business plans from the client's commercial teams and translating them into warehouse capacity plans. Detailed analyses included challenging actual stock fill at each existing warehouse against theoretical capacity, and calculating projected pressure points at each site, with proposed solutions. Our complete recommendations were presented to PB Logistics senior management.

The client also asked PPS to project manage the introduction of zone picking and pick face scanning for one of their key customers.
