Aquascutum is one of Britain‘s foremost luxury goods companies with additional presence in continental Europe, North America and the Far East.
PPS was initially employed to boost output at a specified UK warehouse. On our examination, it was subsequently agreed that we make improvements also to the large-scale supply chain and its impact on the manufacturing, wholesaling and retail business units.
PPS made detailed analyses of the overall supply chain and agreed developments with the Management Board. Our changes included appointment of key senior personnel, the introduction of a Customer Relationship Management strategy and upgrades in planning, controls and technology. PPS also focused on the expansion and redefinition of departmental functions, and encouraged the adoption of modern business philosophies which would aid company performance.
Productivity was raised at the UK warehouse through the combination of overall supply chain improvements and additional local upgrades. PPS carried out site-specific diagnostics and consequently modified warehouse operations, and controls for performance and in-take management. We reviewed job specifications for the management team and launched a comprehensive training and development programme for redefined roles. PPS also improved efficiency through adjusting operating hours, streamlining the vehicle fleet and spatial reorganisation of the site.
